Black Lance was established in August 2003 and has a long history as a pvp-oriented corporation. For a time it was scaled back to be an empire industrial corporation, but it reopened in June 2011 with the aim of re-forming as a pvp group.
The corporation has been run throughout by CEO DJ Lightning with the help of a small group of directors. The corporation was involved in DSMA, Xetic Alliance and Vale Alliance before becoming one of the founding members of NBSI Alliance (along with Euphoria Released and Maza Nostra), which held Tenal in 2005-06. It later moved to Dusk and Dawn Alliance before moving to AAA. It broke off from AAA to hold a constellation in Stain as an independent entity in 2006-07. As the corporation began to be wound down it was briefly involved with oooh Shiny and IAC, before moving to empire in late 2007. Many of the key personnel continued to PvP for some time as members of DOOM.
In 2010 the CEO and other long-term members became active in Eve again, joining up with Dark Rising in IT Alliance, then moving to Cutting Edge in Razor. With many major alliances de-stabilizing and losing 0.0 space in early 2011, the decision was made to re-activate Black Lance. After a summer of rebuilding in Stain, the corp moved to Fountain as part of Executive Outcomes, and subsequently moved to Tenerifis and Geminate with Controlled Chaos for a more active pvp campaign. After helping Razor re-take Tenal, the corporation is now a member of Fidelas Constans, based in Branch.
While the corporation expects all members to have a strong PvP focus, it has never been a PvP-only group. Black Lance runs frequent small gangs and participates with allies in operations in our new home. However, Black Lance continues to have members involved in T2 & T3 production, invention, exploration, agent running, planetary interaction, POS maintenance and a capital ship construction program.
